I don’t care that this is a Labour conference and that you generally don’t agree with them. This man is 91 and still has the intellectual integrity to deliver this speech of such knowledge, wisdom and, most importantly, passion. From the words that he uses, he single-handedly sells the fact that he is wiser than anyone watching him; both right there and online. This is far more significant than a matter of politics; it’s a matter of humanity. He knows that we are better off with free healthcare and has the torment of his past to prove. Yes, the NHS has its problems. But a troubled free healthcare is better than no health-care at all. I think that we can all agree that we don’t want to go back to a time where a person can’t even afford to lessen the pain of death, ey?
